Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Blending Time 1 minute min
Total Time 6 minutes mins
- 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1 banana fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tbsp honey optional
- 1 tsp coconut extract optional
Gather all of your ingredients and equipment.
Add the frozen pineapple, banana, coconut milk, orange juice, honey (if using), and coconut extract (if using) to a blender.
Blend the ingredients on high speed until smooth and well combined, about 1 minute.
Pour the smoothie into a glass or jar and serve immediately. Enjoy!
If you don't have coconut milk on hand, you can use any other type of milk or dairy-free milk alternative in its place.
If you don't have frozen pineapple chunks, you can use fresh pineapple and add a few ice cubes to the blender to give the smoothie a frosty texture.
If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, you can add more honey or use a different sweetener, like agave nectar or maple syrup.
You can omit the coconut extract if you don't have any on hand or if you don't like the flavor.
If you want to add some extra nutrients to your smoothie, you can try adding a handful of spinach or kale, a scoop of protein powder, or some chia seeds.
This smoothie can be served immediately or chilled in the fridge for a few hours before serving. It will thicken as it sits, so you may need to add a splash of milk or water to thin it out before serving.
This recipe makes one serving, but it can easily be doubled or tripled to serve more people. Just be sure to use a blender with a large enough capacity to accommodate the increased volume
