My 4 Ingredient Guacamole Recipe

Hi everyone! If you know me, you know that I am a huge fan of Mexican cuisine. One of my all-time favorite dishes is this 4 ingredient guacamole recipe. It’s a staple at any Mexican restaurant, and it’s also super easy to make at home.

Today, I want to share with you my go-to recipe for 4 ingredient guacamole. It’s quick, simple, and always a hit with family and friends. Plus, with only 4 ingredients, it’s perfect for when you’re in a rush or don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen.

Here’s what you’ll need to make this delicious dip:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste

To start, slice the avocados in half and remove the pits. Scoop the avocado flesh into a medium bowl and mash it with a fork until it’s smooth and creamy. If you like your guacamole on the chunkier side, you can leave some larger pieces of avocado in there.

Next, add the diced tomato, onion, and cilantro to the bowl and stir everything together until well combined. I like to dice my tomato and onion relatively small, but feel free to adjust the size to your preference. The cilantro adds a nice, fresh flavor to the guacamole, so don’t skimp on it!

Finally, season the guacamole with salt to taste. I usually add about a teaspoon, but again, feel free to adjust to your liking. The salt really helps to bring out the flavors of the other ingredients, so don’t be afraid to be generous with it.

Once everything is mixed together, your 4 ingredient guacamole is ready to serve! I love to eat it with tortilla chips, but it’s also delicious on top of tacos, as a topping for salads and sandwiches, or even just on its own with a spoon (I won’t judge).

This 4 ingredient guacamole recipe is so easy and delicious, it’s sure to become a go-to in your household. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Notes

If you’re not planning on serving the guacamole right away, you can prevent it from turning brown by placing a piece of plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating it. This will help to keep air away from the guacamole and prevent oxidation.
